Afterall Symposium on Art Writing and Publishing in Southeast Asia

The series of symposiums titled 'Terms and Conditions of Writing and Publishing Art in Southeast Asia' is being hosted by Afterall in collaboration with Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and is backed by the British Academy's Writing Workshops 2021 Programme, part of the UK Government's Global Challenges Research Fund. Its purpose is to encourage peer learning and promote a variety of art writing among artists, researchers, and writers. Co-facilitators include Thanavi Chotpradit, Brigitta Isabella, and others. Participants, selected through an open call, include Danielle Khleang and others. The workshops will take place weekly from 5 November to 23 December 2021, covering subjects such as art historiography and archive politics in the context of Southeast Asian art.
