Afterall Releases Lucy Lippard Exhibition Histories Talk Online

publication · 2026-04-22

Afterall has just put out a new video featuring Lucy Lippard chatting with Lucy Steeds, and it's the second video in their Exhibition Histories series, which dives into exhibitions from the curators' viewpoints. You can watch it online now. The series includes other engaging talks as well: on January 31, 2024, Sharon Chin, an artist from Malaysia, will share her thoughts on her piece 'Creatures on the Move (In the Death of the Night)' (2022). Earlier, on April 11, 2023, Estefanía Peñafiel Loaiza explored her work alongside discussions on Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak's 'Can the Subaltern Speak?' with Afterall's Elisa Adami and Alex Schady from CSM. Plus, a two-part symposium called 'Precarious Solidarities: Artists for Democracy (1974–77)' took place on February 2, 2023, organized by Afterall and its partners.
