Afterall offers free Palestinian art articles and announces 2026 events including book launch and workshop

Afterall Research Centre, based at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, is providing free access to articles on Palestinian artists and decolonisation as part of the Publishers for Palestine campaign. A shadow puppet workshop with artist Jun Terra, inspired by Artists for Democracy, will be held on 26 January 2026. On 7 May 2026, a book launch for 'How to Pin Down Smoke: ruangrupa since 2000' featuring Iswanto Hartono will take place at Pelican House in Bethnal Green, London. Afterall is also participating in the 'Disobedient Science' programme from 7-8 May 2026, a decolonial ecology network hosted by Radical Ecology with partners including University College London. Recent publications include Issue 58 of Afterall Journal from 6 October 2025 and 'Sung Hwan Kim: A Record of Drifting Across the Sea' from 10 February 2025. Articles available cover topics such as 'Inside History: The Life and Paintings of Inauk S. Gullah' by Sheau Yun Lim and a review of MUNCH Triennale 'Almost Unreal' by Meg Bagnall. Essays on Gonzalo Díaz by Rada Georgieva have been translated into Spanish for Il Posto's website.
