Afterall Launches Free Palestinian Art and Decolonization Resource Repository
Afterall has released a free online repository of articles on Palestinian artists and decolonization as part of the Publishers for Palestine campaign. The collection includes works from Afterall's catalog and contributions from other cultural organizations. Articles feature Palestinian artists like Hazem Harb, whose piece 'My Heart Is Still in Gaza' is included, and Rosalind Nashashibi, analyzed in 'Sensory Worlds: Rosalind Nashashibi’s Proxemic Lens' by Nav Haq. The repository also contains historical materials such as Edward Said's 1984 essay 'Permission to Narrate' and a conversation about the 1978 International Art Exhibition for Palestine in Beirut. Newly commissioned pieces will be added in coming weeks alongside restored Palestinian films through The Void Project. Resources extend to translations of Refaat Alareer's final poem 'If I must die' and Radio Alhara's 'Learning Palestine' audio series. The collection aims to provide comprehensive access to Palestinian cultural production and decolonial discourse.
