Afterall Journal Issue 34 Launch at Dieter Roth's Bar

Afterall journal will launch its Autumn/Winter 2013 issue (No. 34) on Sunday, December 15, 2013, from 4 to 6 PM at Dieter Roth's Bar in New York, located within Hauser & Wirth at 511 West 18th Street. The event features remarks at 5 PM by Stephanie Smith, Deputy Director and Chief Curator of the Smart Museum of Art and Editor of Afterall; artist Mary Ellen Carroll, who is featured in the issue; and Anthony Elms, Associate Curator at ICA Philadelphia and co-curator of the 2014 Whitney Biennial. Issue 34 includes artists Lene Berg, Mary Ellen Carroll, Lili Dujourie, Haegue Yang, and Lucy McKenzie, along with essays on social realism in the Philippines and Mike Kelley's 'The Uncanny' (1993/2004).
