Afteral Releases Video of David Toop Talk on 'Sonic Boom' Exhibition

Afterall has released a video featuring the twelfth talk in the Exhibition Histories series, where composer, musician, author, and curator David Toop engages in discussion with writer and editor David Morris. This conversation, recorded on 24 November 2016, centers on the 2000 exhibition 'Sonic Boom: The Art of Sound', which Toop curated at the Hayward Gallery in London. Often regarded as the first significant UK exhibition of sound art, it showcased artists from various fields, including improvised music, performance, sound design, and visual arts. This event was a joint effort with the Whitechapel Gallery, London, and is part of Afterall's Exhibition Histories research and publication initiative in collaboration with the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College.
