Aesthetica Film Festival 2025 launches trailer for 15th edition in York with 300+ films, VR labs, and industry summit

Scheduled for 5-9 November 2025, the 15th Aesthetica Film Festival in York, UK, will present over 300 films spanning multiple genres. Cherie Federico, the Festival Director, refers to it as a worldwide center for creativity and innovation. This year introduces the Beyond the Frame program, which will include comedy, music, and immersive experiences, featuring headliners like Sophie Duker, Eleanor Tiernan, and Bella Hull. The Dodge Brothers and Neil Brand will provide live scores for silent films, while Mark Kermode will explore the influence of music on cinematic experiences. Masterclasses will feature industry professionals such as Peter Straughan and Jasmin John, and the UK Film Production Summit, led by Mark Herbert of Warp Films, will focus on AI and new investment strategies. Official selections will showcase works by Leon Eberwein and Kelechi Okafor.
