Aesthetica and Audible launch London Listening Pitch event celebrating sound-led documentary filmmaking

On March 23, 2026, London's ICA will host the Aesthetica x Audible Listening Pitch celebration, marking five years of producing short documentaries that emphasize the role of listening in storytelling. The event will include a film screening, a panel discussion, drinks, a DJ, and opportunities for networking. Cherie Federico, Aesthetica's Director, underscores the importance of this event in London. The initiative has backed internationally recognized documentaries such as Old Lesbians, Speed of Sound, Birdsong, Blind as a Beat, The Things We Don't Say, and Greensound. Federico points out that listening is a transformative creative process. Recent works like All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, 20 Days in Mariupol, and The Deepest Breath illustrate the genre's adaptability.
