Despite facing a prolonged property slump and subdued domestic demand, sectors like hi-tech manufacturing and digital industries, particularly AI, are pivotal to economic expansion. At a press conference in Beijing, spokesman Rui Wenbiao remarked that the rapid growth of patents in these innovative fields is fostering new avenues for economic development. While China leads in generative AI patents, the United States and Japan have seen more vigorous patent growth, as reported by the World Intellectual Property Organization.
