Adrien M & Claire B. Brings Virtual Dance to Rome
The French duo Adrien M & Claire B. (Adrien Mondot and Claire Bardainne) return to the Romaeuropa Festival with a renewed version of Cinématique, the 2009 work that won the jury prize at Festival des Bains Numériques. Founded in 2004, the duo previously presented Hakanaï (2014) and Le mouvement de l'air (2015) at the festival. The performance, running from October 19 to 23, 2016 at Teatro Vascello in Rome, merges dance and juggling with real-time virtual landscapes composed of natural elements, numbers, lines, points, letters, and abstract figures. The interaction between performers and computer-generated entities creates a dialogue between matter and light, weight and lightness, dream and reality. The soundtrack is by Christophe Sartori and Laurent Buisson. Tickets range from €17 to €25.
