Adrian Appiolaza appointed creative director of Moschino
Moschino has named Adrian Appiolaza as its new creative director, succeeding Davide Renne, who died suddenly in November 2023 at age 46. Appiolaza, born in Buenos Aires in 1972, previously worked with Clare Waight Keller at Chloé and spent ten years as Women's Ready-to-Wear Design Director at Loewe under Jonathan Anderson. He will oversee women's, men's, and accessories collections, reporting directly to Aeffe S.p.A. Executive President Massimo Ferretti. His debut collection for autumn/winter 2024-25 will be presented on February 22, 2024, during Milan Fashion Week. Appiolaza cited Franco Moschino's 3D postcard jackets and bra skirts as inspirations, praising the founder's ability to inhabit his time with lightness and irony.
