Adolescence leads Bafta TV Awards nominations with seven nods

The Bafta Television Awards will occur at London's Southbank Centre this Sunday, with Greg Davies as the inaugural host. Leading the nominations is the Netflix series Adolescence, which has garnered seven nods, including best limited drama and five for acting, featuring Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, Erin Doherty, Ashley Walters, and Christine Tremarco. Previously, the show secured two Baftas at the Craft Awards. Amandaland has four nominations in comedy, while The Celebrity Traitors is nominated for best reality show. Erin Doherty and Aimee Lou Wood each received two acting nominations. Other contenders include Colin Firth, Jodie Whittaker, Matt Smith, Sheridan Smith, and Taron Egerton. Alan Carr, Bob Mortimer, and Romesh Ranganathan also have two nominations in entertainment performance. Dame Mary Berry will be honored with the Bafta Fellowship, and Martin Lewis will receive the Special Award. Presenters include Celia Imrie, Richard Osman, and others, with musical acts Cat Burns and Aurora scheduled to perform. The event will be aired on BBC One and BBC iPlayer starting at 19:00 BST.
