Adobe and Keith Haring Foundation launch 6 digital brushes for Photoshop and Fresco

Adobe, in collaboration with the Keith Haring Foundation and brush creator Kyle T. Webster, has released six digital brushes inspired by Keith Haring's iconic tools: Chalk, Marker, Spray Paint, Felt Tip, Acrylic Paint, Dripping Paint, and Sumi Ink. Available through Adobe Creative Cloud on Fresco and Photoshop, the brushes let creators paint in Haring's distinctive style. The initiative is part of Adobe's ongoing project to digitize iconic art and design tools; in 2017 they recreated Edvard Munch's brushes, and in 2018 the Bauhaus Dessau fonts. Simon Morris, Senior Director of Marketing at Adobe, stated the goal is to eliminate constraints and encourage creativity, celebrating 'creativity for all.' David Stark, Trustee of the Keith Haring Foundation and President of Artestar, noted that Haring's ambition was to communicate with a broad audience, and the digital brushes translate his analog materials for today's creators. Keith Haring (1958–1990) was a leading figure in 1980s New York counterculture, known for his visual vocabulary of barking dogs, crawling babies, and flying saucers, addressing social and political themes like racism, homophobia, and capitalism.
