Adeline Ooi Named Art Basel Director Asia, Will Lead Hong Kong Fair and Regional Strategy

Adeline Ooi has been appointed Director Asia for Art Basel, taking on leadership of Art Basel Hong Kong and the fair's broader Asia-focused initiatives within its global operations. Ooi, born in Malaysia in 1976, previously served as Art Basel's VIP Relations Manager for Southeast Asia for two years. Her background includes studying Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in London. She co-founded the Malaysian cultural agency RogueArt and worked as a curator and program director at the Valentine Willie Fine Art gallery in Kuala Lumpur. The appointment signals Art Basel's continued commitment to strengthening its presence and programming across the Asian art market.
