ADAM Museum in Brussels Showcases Belgian Design with 'Design Generations'

exhibition · 2026-05-04

The Art & Design Atomium Museum (ADAM) in Brussels, which originated from Philippe Decelle's collection of plastic items, is currently presenting 'Design Generations' as part of the fifth Intersections biennial. Curated by Giovanna Massoni in collaboration with Wallonie-Bruxelles Design-Mode (WBDM), the exhibition highlights ten Belgian designers who investigate creativity through chosen museum artifacts. Among the featured pieces are Alain Berteau's Ariante fan by Marco Zanuso and Alain Gilles' mirror/valet Goeffrey. The exhibition also imagines future designs for pediatric hospitals and emotional communication. Recently, ADAM wrapped up 'Soviet Design. Red Wealth,' which increased visitor attendance. Additionally, it includes 'Podium 58' and 'Graphic 58,' celebrating the 60th anniversary of the 1958 Brussels World's Fair, open until November 4, 2018.
