Act N.1 Wins Who Is On Next? 13th Edition at Altaroma

The 13th edition of the Who Is On Next? fashion scouting competition, organized by Altaroma, concluded at Guido Reni District in Rome. An international jury including Emanuele Farneti (new director of Vogue Italia), Sara Sozzani Maino (Vogue Talents), Silvia Venturini Fendi (Altaroma president), Suzy Menkes (Vogue International), Carlo Capasa (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana), and Raffaello Napoleone (Pitti Immagine) awarded the main prize to the multicultural brand Act N.1, founded by designers Galib Gasanov and Luca Lin. The duo presented a deconstructed cosmopolitan style with avant-garde cuts and ethnic flair. In the accessories category, Niccolò Giannini (NicoGiani bags) and Andrea Mondin (fairy-tale shoes) tied for first place. A new award, the Franca Sozzani Prize, offered a six-month mentorship with Pitti Immagine, a cash prize, and a slot in Milan Fashion Week in September 2018. NicoGiani also received the Penelope Prize-Roberta Valentini for visibility in Brescia. Act N.1 and NicoGiani won the Sugar Prize for co-branding with the Arezzo concept store. Act N.1 additionally received the Tomorrow Prize, granting participation in Paris Fashion Week in September 2018. The competition continues to be supported by Mise and Ice for promoting young Italian fashion talent.
