Accademia di Belle Arti di Frosinone adds sacred art and food design courses

The Accademia di Belle Arti di Frosinone is undergoing a major transformation under director Luigi Fiorletta. The school has moved to a renovated Palazzo Tiravanti, a late-1920s building that received €1.3 million in renovations, and will host the MACA (Museo di Arte Contemporanea dell'Accademia), a unique museum in Italy. Beyond traditional courses in Painting, Sculpture, Decoration, Scenography, and Graphic Art, the academy now offers experimental programs in Media Art, Fashion Design (the second such course in Italy, with students presenting at AltaRomaAltaModa), and Graphic Design. Internationalization is a key goal, with Erasmus partnerships in Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, and Turkey, and students from China, Iran, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, and the Czech Republic. Most notably, the academy is launching a first-level course in Sacred Art and a Food Design course (pending ministry approval). Fiorletta stated these innovative, competitive programs look ahead to the job market and placement, building on the school's recent successes.
