Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna launches 'riparAzioni' lecture series with international intellectuals
The Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna (Ababo) has launched 'riparAzioni', a series of six lectures running from April 3 to June 23, 2023, curated by Lucrezia Ercoli, Maura Pozzati, and Emilio Varrà. Part of the larger PON Metro 14-20 project funded by the EU for sustainable urban development, the cycle aims to foster critical awareness of social marginalization and art's regenerative potential. Speakers include philosopher Emanuele Coccia (April 3), Indonesian collective ruangrupa (April 17), theater director Armando Punzo (May 4), artist Adelita Husni-Bey (May 25), illustrator Nora Krug (June 23), and filmmaker Alice Rohrwacher (date TBD). Coccia will address anthropocentrism and metamorphosis; ruangrupa will discuss institutional reconfiguration; Punzo, founder of Compagnia della Fortezza di Volterra, will present his prison theater project (recipient of the 2023 Biennale Teatro Golden Lion); Husni-Bey will explore collective creative processes; Krug will examine memory through graphic novels; and Rohrwacher will focus on minorities and rural perspectives.
