Accademia Carrara Presents New Lorenzo Lotto Catalogue and Events

The Accademia Carrara in Bergamo is honoring Renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto (1480-1557) with a series of events, highlighted by the national preview of 'Lorenzo Lotto. Catalogo generale dei dipinti,' authored by Enrico Maria Dal Pozzolo and released by Skira. This presentation is scheduled for Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 6 PM, and will be broadcast live on YouTube. Miguel Falomir Faus, director of the Museo del Prado, will be present; he has co-curated significant Lotto exhibitions at the Prado (2018) and the National Gallery in London (2018-2019). The extensive 624-page catalogue features over 700 images and is published nearly 50 years after the last one in 1975. Additional events will include a children’s program on February 6 and Lotto itineraries during the FAI Spring Days, extending into 2023.
