ACCA Revives NEW Series; Quilty Named TNC Ambassador; Kallat Commissioned; ART KL Debuts
The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) in Melbourne will unveil NEW26, its first exhibition in ten years, from September 18 to November 22. Curated by Shelley McSpedden and Sophie Prince, the show will feature works by artists such as Amanda Bell, Nicholas Currie, and EJ Son, addressing themes including artificial intelligence, identity, and colonialism. In other developments, artist Ben Quilty has been appointed as the inaugural ambassador for The Nature Conservancy Australia to promote ecological stewardship. Additionally, Indian artist Jitish Kallat will contribute to the Menil Drawing Institute’s 'Wall Drawing Series' in Houston until August 8, 2027.
