ACCA Relaunches NEW26, Quilty Named TNC Ambassador, Kallat Commissioned, ART KL Debuts
The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art in Melbourne is reviving its NEW26 exhibition, marking a decade since its last presentation. Curators Shelley McSpedden and Sophie Prince have selected seven artists, including Amanda Bell and Nicholas Currie, to explore themes like artificial intelligence, identity, and colonial impact. This exhibition will be available for viewing from September 18 to November 22. In related news, Ben Quilty has been appointed as the inaugural ambassador for Nature Conservancy Australia to raise awareness about environmental issues. Additionally, the Menil Drawing Institute in Houston is hosting Jitish Kallat's "Wall Drawing Series" from September 10 until August 8, 2027.
