Academy of Art University School of Fashion Presents Spring Runway Shows in San Francisco
The School of Fashion at Academy of Art University, one of the largest fashion schools in the U.S. with 1,754 undergraduates and 211 graduates, will present two runway events: “US NOW” on May 7 and “Bloom Fashion Show” on May 8 in San Francisco. Established in 1929 by Richard S. Stephens, the institution boasts a 100% acceptance rate and has been sending designers to New York Fashion Week for over ten years. Neil Gilks became the Executive Director in Fall 2022. The 2023–2025 Industry Advisory Board includes members such as Ulrich Grimm, Kate Wallace, Daniel Reynolds, and Simon O’Mahony. The “Bloom Fashion Show” is created in collaboration with the With Love Halston Foundation, while “US NOW” showcases 19 graduating designers. Various fashion disciplines are offered in degree tracks.
