Abu Dhabi Art 2024 Announces 102 Galleries and New Sectors

festival-fair · 2026-04-22

Abu Dhabi Art 2024, under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will host 102 galleries from 31 countries at Manarat Al Saadiyat from November 20–24. The 16th edition introduces three new Focus sectors: Something Bold, Something New, curated by Myrna Ayad, highlighting modern artists from the region; The Collectors Salon, curated by Roxane Zand, featuring manuscripts, astrolabes, and historical objects; and Silk Road: Drifting Identities, curated by Elvira Eevr Djaltchinova-Malets, focusing on Central Asia and the Caucasus. The Emerge sector expands to nine galleries with works under $3,000, and Bidaya welcomes two newcomers. Notable returning galleries include GALLERIA CONTINUA, Perrotin, and Galerie ISA; new participants include Richard Saltoun Gallery and 3812 Gallery. HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak of DCT Abu Dhabi cited upcoming museum openings—Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Zayed National Museum—as drivers of commercial art sector growth. The Collectors Salon includes exhibitors like KESKINER/KENT ANTIQUES (Ottoman saddlery), Shapero Rare Books (7th-century Hijazi Qur’an leaf), and Peter Harrington Rare Books (Le Petit Prince typescript). Something Bold, Something New presents artists such as Inji Efflatoun, Behjat Sadr, and Halim Jurdak. Silk Road features Gulnar Mukazhanova, Mishiko Sulakauri, and others. Dyala Nusseibeh, Director of Abu Dhabi Art, called 2024 a year of firsts, including the largest edition ever with over 100 galleries.
