Abigail Reynolds presents films and discusses practice at ArtReview Live event
On Wednesday, 24 June 2015, at 7pm, British artist Abigail Reynolds will showcase two short films and engage in a discussion about her artistic approach alongside writer and curator Ben Borthwick during an ArtReview Live event. This occasion aligns with her solo exhibition '8 / ∞' at ROKEBY gallery in London, which continues until 26 June 2015. Reynolds’ work involves creating collages and sculptures from archival images and books, intuitively folding and assembling them to craft new narratives. In her latest exhibition, she has adapted her work to interact with the gallery’s architecture, delving into themes of place and human engagement. Reynolds, a Goldsmiths graduate (2002), completed a residency with Rambert Dance in 2013, leading to the performance 'Double Fold.' Recent solo exhibitions include 'Ein Zeit-Punkt' in Vienna (2013), 'First Light' at Plymouth College of Art (2013), and 'A Common Treasury' in Los Angeles (2012). The event will take place at ArtReview Bar, 1 Honduras Street, London EC1Y 0TH, with a bar open until 11pm. RSVPs can be sent to rsvp@artreview.com.
