ABA Venice Launches Three New Courses for 2023/2024 Academic Year
The Academy of Fine Arts of Venice (ABA Venezia) has introduced three new courses for the 2023/2024 academic year, expanding its educational offerings. A new School of Art Didactics now offers a three-year undergraduate program in Communication, Education, and Mediation of Art, aimed at those interested in promoting and enhancing cultural heritage. Additionally, two new two-year specializations have been launched: Illustration and Comics (within the School of Graphic Art) and Art and Public Space (within the School of Decoration). The former targets the publishing and visual communication sectors, while the latter explores urban regeneration and the enhancement of natural contexts where art, design, and architecture interact. Director Riccardo Caldura stated that the academy aims to increase employment opportunities for young Italian and international students by diversifying training modalities alongside its historic schools. The new courses will be presented during an open day on June 6, 2023, from 10:30 to 12:30 at the Academy, with limited spots available via Eventbrite registration.
