Aaron Seeto named deputy director of Hirshhorn Museum
Beginning on February 12, 2024, Aaron Seeto will take on the role of deputy director at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. He has a background as the founding director of Museum MACAN in Indonesia, where he worked from 2016 until late 2023, a position now held by Venus Lau. Before that, he contributed as the curatorial manager for Asian and Pacific art at the Queensland Art Gallery in Brisbane, Australia. Hirshhorn’s director, Melissa Chiu, commended Seeto for his significant contributions to MACAN and his commitment to enhancing the museum's community engagement.
