AAA Corp's nomadic modules and political art at Le Confort moderne

exhibition · 2026-04-23

Between June 5 and October 12, 2003, AAA Corp, an artist collective founded by Simon Rosant and Renaud Tabaillon, held a major exhibition at Le Confort moderne in Poitiers. Their display included unique low-tech mobile units like 240GL BREAK, a sound system made from a Volvo rear, and AAA Corp. TRANSMISSION, a trailer with a recording studio and FM transmitter. Other highlights were AAA Corp. SERIGRAPHIK, a screen-printing workshop in a truck, and AAA Corp. RAFFINERIE, a trailer for processing oilseeds into food oil and fuel. These works emerged from the crisis in Saint-Étienne, blending activism with design. The opening featured performances from various artists over three days and interactive installations. Earlier that year, they also showcased their work at Zoogalerie in Nantes and Palais de Tokyo.
