aA29 Project Room Opens Milan Space with 'I Varchi Del Poi'

The gallery aA29 Project Room, named after asteroid 2002 AA29, will open a new space in Milan on December 15, 2016, with the exhibition 'I Varchi Del Poi' featuring works by Tiziana Pers, Sasha Vinci, and Maria Grazia Galesi. The show, accompanied by a text by Leonardo Caffo and a dialogue with Daniele Capra, explores concepts of possibility and anticipation of the present. Directed by Gerardo Giurin for eleven years, aA29 already operates historic spaces in Caserta and Prague. The gallery focuses on interdisciplinary dialogues, site-specific projects, and residencies to support contemporary research. In autumn 2017, a residency for American artist Kyle Thompson will be created in Campania. Thompson was a finalist at the Premio Icona 2016 during ArtVerona. The Milan space is located at Via Sottocorno 27 in the Porta Vittoria area. The exhibition runs until January 31, 2017. In spring 2017, from April 22 to 26, a secular ceremony inspired by Sicilian infiorata will take place at the Reggia di Caserta and its Giardino Inglese, with Vinci and Galesi as performers in the project 'Mutabis', under the patronage of Mibact.
