A Sud Gallery Opens in Pescara with Focus on 'Meridian Thought'

exhibition · 2026-04-27

A new art space, A Sud, has been inaugurated at Palazzo UZA in Pescara, thanks to the efforts of the Fondazione Zimei. The gallery, envisioned by Sabrina Zimei and curated by Massimiliano Scuderi, serves as both a commercial venue and a center for research. Its first exhibition, which will be open until September 2, 2021, showcases pieces by artists such as Adriano Costa, Enzo Cucchi, Flavio Favelli, Andreas Ragnar Kassapis, and Renato Leotta. Meanwhile, Ugo La Pietra is exhibiting at the Fondazione Zimei. The gallery's name draws inspiration from Franco Cassano's concept of 'meridian thought' and focuses on themes of freedom, collaboration, and relationships, with artist residencies featuring Pedro Barateiro and Andreas Ragnar Kassapis. Upcoming solo exhibitions by Barateiro and Franck Scurti are planned at the Fondazione Zimei.
