A,m,o: New Biennial Art Festival Launches in Italy's Marche Region

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

A new biennial art festival named A,m,o (Arte, Marche, Oltre) has been inaugurated in Italy's Marche region, evolving from the 'UN NUMERO PERFETTO Perfect number' exhibition by Sponge ArteContemporanea, an independent cultural group in Pergola. Under the direction of artist Giovanni Gaggia, the festival is scheduled from July 14 to 22, spanning nine days across various sites in Pesaro and Urbino, including Pergola, Fano, Cagli, Pesaro, and Senigallia. The event showcases international artists like Davide Quadrio, Massimo Mattioli, and Saba Masoumian, among others. It intends to establish itself as a key biennial event, starting with a 'number 0' edition featuring a workshop for nine curators under 35. Collaborating with regional festivals, it aims to naturally integrate contemporary art into the community, as noted by partner Sandro Pascucci.
