A Few Things I Cannot Leave Behind at CAC Geneva
The Centre d'Art Contemporain (CAC) in Geneva presents 'A Few Things I Cannot Leave Behind', a group exhibition curated by Andrea Bellini across three floors. The show features works by six artists: Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi, Marinella Pirelli, Zoe Leonard, Jean-Frédéric Schnyder, and Karl Holmqvist. The exhibition opens with Gianikian and Ricci Lucchi's 'La Marcia dell'Uomo' (2001), a three-screen installation commissioned by Harald Szeemann for the 49th Venice Biennale, exploring the history of moving images. Other works include Pirelli's 'Bruciare' (1971), Leonard's 'I Want a President' (1992), Schnyder's anthropomorphic paintings, and Holmqvist's 'Karl's perfect day' (2017), which features a performance by Rirkrit Tiravanija, Klara Liden, Haegue Yang, Shimabuku, and Hamid Amini. The exhibition runs until April 21, 2019.
