93 Contemporary Art Masters in Parma's Palazzo del Governatore

Parma hosts 'Contemporanea. Capolavori dalle collezioni di Parma' at Palazzo del Governatore, featuring 115 works by 93 artists. The exhibition draws from the city's own collections, built over years through strategic acquisitions. It spans 22 sections from Dadaism to Surrealism, including masters like Alberto Burri, Giorgio De Chirico, Edward Hopper, and Lucio Fontana. Marcel Duchamp's 'Fountain' is present. Highlights include Victor Brauner's 'Sans titre', Chagall's 'Le couple devant le peintre', Felice Casorati's 'Ragazza nuda nello studio', and Jannis Kounellis's 'Rosa' (the poster image). Michelangelo Pistoletto's 'Panni stesi' and 'Hunger' installation are shown. The exhibition also features photographs of Gina Pane's body art. Lenz Fondazione will present performances in May, June, and July, including 'Over Gina Pane' and 'Azioni sentimentali'. Fabio Mauri's video works are projected. The show is organized by Fondazione Solares delle Arti and the Comune di Parma. Andrea Gambetta, president of the foundation, noted the foundation's collection includes works by Pistoletto, Wim Wenders, Sebastião Salgado, and Dennis Oppenheim.
