7 Must-See Events at the 2019 Venice Biennale

A curated guide to seven off-site events during the 2019 Venice Biennale. At the Hilton Molino Stucky, Naby Byron's installation 'Play with us' features carousel horses and music by Max Casacci of Subsonica, celebrating Hilton's centenary. Vasily Klyukin's 'In Dante Veritas' at Arsenale Nord offers an immersive multimedia journey through Dante's Inferno, curated by Paola Gribaudo with the State Russian Museum. V–A–C Foundation hosts Alterazioni Video's 'The New Circus Event' for the Russian State Circus centenary. Palazzo Martinengo, Mariano Fortuny's former residence, opens to the public for the first time with 'Mortalia dement' featuring works by five artists, organized by MLB Maria Livia Brunelli Gallery with Studio La Città, Galleria Continua, and Gian Enzo Sperone. Finally, Glasstress returns to Murano for its tenth anniversary at Fondazione Berengo Art Space, curated by Vik Muniz, with artists including Ai Weiwei, Tony Cragg, and Thomas Schütte.
