7 Italian Summer Music Festivals Blending Art and Sound in 2017
Italy's music festivals for summer 2017 highlight the tenth installment of Fondazione Merz's Meteorite in Giardino in Turin, which showcases artists like Massimo Bartolini, Michele Guido, Costas Varotsos, and astronaut Franco Malerba on June 20, June 27, and July 6. A precursor to the Flowers Festival on July 7-8 will host Einstürzende Neubauten and Wu Ming 2. Kappa FuturFestival is set to feature Fatboy Slim, while TODAYS will include Pj Harvey. In Lazio, the In Musica – Art City event runs from June 24 to September 2. The Albori Music Festival, taking place from July 7-9, highlights independent music in Franciacorta. Musical Zoo (July 19-23) will present Mattia Lullini's installation, and Ypsigrock (August 10-13) will launch a contest. VIVA! (August 15-20) will feature Nicolas Jaar and Lorenzo Senni.
