6th International Wood Construction Forum Highlights Timber as Key to Sustainable Building
Scheduled for June 3-4, the 6th International Wood Construction Forum (FORUM-MADERA 2025) will take place at the Palacio de Congresos Baluarte in Pamplona, Spain. This year, the Spanish residential market is experiencing a shortfall, with 200,000 new households anticipated but only 110,000 housing completions. By 2026, wood construction is projected to increase to 3% of new builds, up from the current 0.5-1.5%, as CLT production capacity approaches 161,800 m³ annually. The event will include a technical program and an exhibition featuring companies such as Pro Clima and Rothoblaas, divided into five thematic blocks, beginning with a tour of Madergia's factory. Forum director Ibán Carpintero highlighted its significance as a hub for wood construction solutions. Registration is currently available.
