60th Venice Biennale announces national pavilion artists for 2024 edition curated by Adriano Pedrosa

The 60th Venice Biennale will take place from April 20 to November 24, 2024, under the artistic leadership of Adriano Pedrosa, who has announced the artists representing various national pavilions. Albania has chosen Iva Lulashi, whose artwork reflects on Albanian visual culture and the complexities of communist-era propaganda. Australia features First Nations artist Archie Moore, while Austria presents Anna Jermolaewa, who fled the Soviet Union in 1989. Argentina selects Luciana Lamothe for site-specific sculptures, and Belgium showcases the collective Petticoat Government. Other notable selections include Wael Shawky for Egypt, Julien Creuzet for France, and Jeffrey Gibson, the first Indigenous artist to represent the US.
