6 stabbed after Arsenal Premier League victory parade in London

Six people were stabbed in the hours following Arsenal's Premier League trophy parade in London, according to the Metropolitan Police. The event, held on Sunday, saw thousands of fans lining the streets around the Emirates Stadium. Over 500 officers were deployed, resulting in 24 arrests. Ten suspects were arrested on suspicion of assaulting police, including one for allegedly throwing racist abuse. One officer suffered a slash wound to the hand, another was hit on the head by a thrown object. Other arrests included sexual assault, GBH, drug possession, knife possession, drunk and disorderly conduct, obstructing police, affray, and breach of a dispersal order. Four police vans in Islington had broken lights and dents. Most stabbing victims were not seriously hurt, but one man was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition and has since stabilized.
