50 Top Pizza Names America's Best Pizzerias for 2026

Una Pizza Napoletana in New York City has been named the best pizzeria in America for the fifth consecutive year by 50 Top Pizza. The ranking was announced at a ceremony in Manhattan on Wednesday night. Pizzeria Sei in Los Angeles and Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco tied for second place. Razza in Jersey City, New Jersey, jumped from 12th to third place. Jay's in Kenmore, New York, took fourth, and Ribalta in New York City rounded out the top five. Anthony Mangieri, owner of Una Pizza Napoletana, continues his monk-like devotion to pizza-making, using naturally leavened dough and a custom wood-fired oven from Naples. Pizzeria Sei's William Joo is moving his restaurant to a new location in West Los Angeles within the month, allowing for a more ambitious menu. The organization 50 Top Pizza was founded in 2014 by Italians Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro, and Albert Sapere. They released their first guide in 2017 and began evaluating American pizzerias in 2021, ranking Una Pizza Napoletana first every year since 2022. The rankings are determined by surveys and in-person visits. The best pizza of the year award went to Truly Pizza in Dana Point, California, for its Umami Mushroom pie. Marisol Doyle of Leña in Cleveland, Mississippi, was named Pizzamaker of the Year; Leña rose from 38th to 9th place.
