50 m² Malasaña Apartment by StudioMadera Maximizes Limited Natural Light

architecture-design · 2026-05-30

StudioMadera has completed the renovation of a 50 m² apartment in Madrid's Malasaña neighborhood. The interior dwelling had limited natural light, entering mainly from the building's main patio. The original layout was fragmented, preventing light from reaching the interior. The design team, Jorge Núñez and Eileen Ng, reorganized the space to optimize light distribution. Materials and products from MARAZZI, Milan Iluminación, and noo.ma were used. The project is curated by Valentina Díaz and photographed by Carla Capdevila. Completion is projected for 2026.
