Artribune's monthly video game column reviews five recent releases. Afterlove EP, by Indonesian studio Pikselnesia and publisher Fellow Traveller, is a narrative game set in contemporary Jakarta about a young man grieving his girlfriend's death, featuring multiple endings and dating sim elements. Avowed, from Obsidian Entertainment (Microsoft), is a role-playing game set in the fantasy world of Eora, critiquing colonialism and the Anthropocene through allegory. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, by Warhorse Studios (Embracer Group), is a historical RPG set in 1403 Bohemia that retracts its predecessor's nationalist stance, now including progressive elements like a same-sex relationship. The Stone of Madness, by The Game Kitchen and Tripwire Presents, is a stealth-based game set in a late-18th-century Spanish monastery for the mentally ill, inspired by Francisco Goya and Hieronymus Bosch. Urban Myth Dissolution Center, by Hakababunko and SHUEISHA GAMES, is a linear interactive story about investigating urban legends and conspiracy theories, influenced by Japanese anime.
