5 Italian Summer Festivals: From Calabria to Piedmont

The FRAC Festival in Calabria moves to the Parco Archeologico Scolacium for its fourth edition on August 10-11, 2018, featuring experimental music and visual art. Attraverso Festival runs from July 27 to September 9 across Langhe, Roero, Monferrato, and the Apennines, combining art, landscape, and enogastronomy in UNESCO-listed areas. Tones On The Stones returns for its 12th edition until July 28 in Piedmont's quarries, with performances including 'La Febbre dell'Oro' directed by Helmut Imig. Cinzella Festival takes place August 16-19 at the Cave di Fantiano in Grottaglie, Taranto, hosting Peter Murphy and David J Haskins celebrating Bauhaus's 40th anniversary. Luci su Fortuna runs until September 1 at the Santuario di Palestrina near Rome, curated by Marina Cogotti, with music and guided tours.
