5 Italian Cultural Festivals to Attend in January 2022

Italy continues to host a wide range of cultural festivals in January 2022, spanning literature, philosophy, history, cinema, music, visual arts, communication, street art, and behind-the-scenes documentaries. Among the highlights: ArtBeat, a one-night music and visual art event on January 14 at Monk in Rome, organized by students of the Luiss Business School's Master in Media and Entertainment, with proceeds donated to 'Scena Unita – Per i lavoratori della musica e dello spettacolo'; Festivalino Digitale, an online festival from January 10 to 12 presented by Solido, featuring live streaming, webinars, panels, and a new documentary section, with a reading by Emidio Clementi; 'Una notte come questa' at Circolo della musica in Turin, starting January 14 with performances by Laila Al Habash, Sasso, Soviet Soviet, and New Candys, and continuing into March with Alexander Hacke, Daniele De Picciotto, and Martina Topley-Bird; Muri d'artista 2021 at Cittadella degli Archivi in Milan, inaugurating 40 murals by 10 artists on January 15; and Mozart a Verona 2022, a week of events until January 11 marking the 252nd anniversary of Mozart's visit to Verona, in collaboration with Comune di Verona, Fondazione Cariverona, Accademia Filarmonica di Verona, and Fondazione Arena.
