5 Art and Curator Calls in Italy: July 2018 Deadlines

Artribune Jobs, a platform for art, photography, architecture, and design opportunities, has launched a monthly column highlighting open calls. Five competitions are featured for July 2018. The first edition of Carapelli for Art celebrates the company's 125th anniversary, offering two categories (Open and Accademia) for artists to interpret the theme of mastery, tradition, and quality, with a deadline of July 15. The Premio Mosca 2018 awards two Italian emerging curators a six-month residency in Moscow from October 15, 2018 to April 15, 2019, at the VAC Foundation, providing a monthly stipend of €1,800, round-trip airfare, and insurance; deadline July 12. The third edition of the Premio Pino Casarini, honoring the fresco master, is open to students of Italian fine arts academies, with a deadline of July 27; it includes a reinterpretation of Casarini's Arena and a February conference. The Recollocal group's Transluoghi project offers a residency in Cilento's depopulated areas (Morigerati, Casaletto Spartano, Tortorella) from July 30 to August 7, with a deadline of July 15. Public Scape Taranto selects artists for a residency in seven symbolic sites of Taranto (including Castello Aragonese and MUDI) from August 30 to September 6, with a deadline of July 15.
