47 Artists Respond to Saint-Exupéry in Paris Group Drawing Show
Galerie Serge Aboukrat, once reputed as the smallest gallery in Paris at roughly 2 x 2 meters, mounted a group exhibition titled "Dessine-moi un…" from October 18, 2007 to February 7, 2008. Curated by Serge Aboukrat and Eran Guterman, the show invited 47 creators—including visual artists, architects, composers, and fashion designers—to produce one or more drawings on A4-sized paper (30 x 40 cm). The only constraint was the sheet format; all works were identically framed and hung edge-to-edge. The resulting diversity was striking: from Jean-Olivier Hucleux's detailed deprogramming drawings and François Rouan's baroque sheets to Claude Viallat's minimal imprints, and from the rapid, nervous lines of Pat Andrea and Stéphane Pencréac'h to the erotic singularity of Mirka Lugosi and Aurélie Dubois, whose incisive yet gentle touch captured intimate moments. The exhibition was reviewed by Richard Leydier in artpress.
