42 International Artists Protest War in Tuscan Garden Exhibition
The 51st edition of Forme nel Verde, titled Horti Pacis, is an open-air group exhibition at the Horti Leonini in San Quirico d'Orcia, Siena, running until November 2, 2022. Curated by Carlo Pizzichini, it features works by 42 international artists from Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Iraq, Syria, France, Switzerland, Turkey, Norway, Germany, Ecuador, Hungary, Albania, and China, many addressing the tragedy of war. Notable is Stefania Vichi's installation 'Take Care,' which engaged Yevgeniya Korshunova, prima ballerina of the Kyiv Opera, in a dance performance. Pizzichini described the sculptures as 'imposing witnesses of a culture of peace' that denounce war's injustices and foster dialogue on peace and coexistence. The exhibition is part of Forme nel Verde, a recurring event in the historic Tuscan town.
