3D Virtual Tour of Uffizi's Painted Wood Sculptures
The Uffizi Galleries in Florence is currently presenting an exhibition that showcases exquisite painted wooden sculptures from renowned artists, including Donatello and Leonardo del Tasso. Running until August 28, the exhibition features approximately fifty works sourced from local churches and chapels, highlighting intricately carved crucifixes and religious figures. A local company, Lo/Studio35, has developed a 3D model of both the gallery and the surrounding city. Additionally, a video directed by Mirko Peripimeno, accompanied by music from Simone Santini, complements the exhibition. Curated by Alfredo Bellandi, the installation was designed by Antonio Godoli and Nicola Santini.
