3D Animation 'We' Explores Fragility of Human Relationships

digital · 2026-04-27

The 3D animated short film 'We', a collaboration between designers and animation directors Martina Stiftinger and Rita Louro, commissioned by Paris-based studio Motion Plus Design, uses fluid structures that touch, intertwine, shatter, or remain firmly united to metaphorically represent human relationships. Accompanied by a minimalist score by Ambrose Yu, the forms 'dance' under external forces that affect their stability, coexisting or colliding within the same three-dimensional space. No bodies, hands, or faces are shown, yet the animation evokes living beings approaching, parting, or drifting away without saying goodbye. The video was published on Artribune in October 2020.
