festival-fair · 2026-04-22

The 35th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts, curated by Ibrahim Mahama, will take place from September 15, 2023, to January 14, 2024. Titled "From the void came gifts of the cosmos," this event features over 60 artists and collectives hailing from Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond, showcasing new commissions, site-specific pieces, and archival works. Some standout contributors are Nabil Djedouani, Jihan El Tahri, and Amina Menia. The curatorial team includes members from Exit Frame Collective and other notable figures. The exhibition highlights transcultural ties, especially between post-independence Ghana and the former Yugoslavia. A public program called Agyina: Advisory of Sages will include film screenings and workshops in Ljubljana.
