festival-fair · 2026-05-04

The 34th Settimana Internazionale della Critica (SIC) in Venice has revealed its official selection of seven films competing from a pool of over 500 entries. Among these is Tony Driver, directed by Ascanio Petrini, the sole Italian film, which SIC General Delegate Giona Nazzaro characterized as 'polito.' The festival will kick off with Gitanjali Rao's Bombay Rose and conclude with Joshua Gil's Sanctorum. Additional films featured are All This Victory by Ahmad Ghossein, Parthenon by Mantas Kvedaravičius, The Prince by Sebastian Muñoz, Psychosia by Marie Grahtø, Rare Beasts by Billie Piper, and Scales by Shahad Ameen. The SIC@SIC section will showcase short films, including those by Gianni Amelio and Bonifacio Angius, alongside a new visual identity highlighted by Christelle Halal's artwork representing unity.
