300 Desenhos Project Raises Funds for Brazilian Humanitarian Causes Through Art Donations
The 300 Desenhos initiative unites visual artists to generate funds for three charitable organizations amid the Covid-19 crisis. Artists contribute either new or pre-existing A4 drawings, forming a varied collection of artwork. For R$1000, supporters gain online access to view these donated pieces, with an algorithm determining which drawings are assigned to each donor instead of allowing them to choose. This campaign is active until May 10, with proceeds equally benefiting APIB, CUFA, and Habitat. APIB advocates for indigenous rights across Brazil, CUFA has been executing cultural and educational initiatives in favelas for over two decades, and Habitat Brasil has been advancing housing access policies since 1992. Organizers include Amanda Rodrigues Alves, Alexandre Gabriel, and others, with artists ranging from renowned figures like Ernesto Neto to emerging talents such as Anna Costa e Silva.
